The Ducati 125 S (Sport) and 125 SV (Sport Veloce) were twin cylinder, four-stroke OHV motorcycles built from 1956 to 1960, featuring a singular down-tube frame full cradle steel frame and full-width drum brakes.
The 125 S sold in London for ₤181 and the 125 SV was ₤ 187 2 s.
Ducati's success in the year these models were released, selling over 10,000 units in 1956 (a 3.5% market share), would be unmatched until 1992. The release of the 125 coincided with a boom year for the Italian motorcycle industry, and Ducati sold 10,767 motorcycles (3.5 percent of the market) in 1956. These were halcyon days, and it wouldn't be until 1992 that these sales would be matched.
