Wolseley
1907 – 1909
Wolseley Italiana (Società Anonima Wolseley Italiana) was an Italian automotive manufacturer based in Legnano with operations in 1907 through 1909. The majority of shares were owned by Bank of Legnano (Banca di Legnano). The aim was to produce the Wolseley models and products in England and finish and assemble them in Italy under license and market it. Under the brand name Wolsit they manufactured and offered the following models: the 10/12 hp with a 1775 cc 2-cylinder engine, the 16/24 hp with a 3550 cc 4-cylinder engine, the 30/40 hp with a 5555 cc 4-cylinder engine, the 45/60 hp with a 6-cylinder engine, consisting of three cylindrical blocks with 8190 cc and the 14/20 HP with a 4-cylinder engine, consisting of two cylinder blocks with 2587 cc. The economic crisis in Italy prevented an expansion of this company, which had to give up in 1909.
