1922 - 1926
MR (Officine Meccaniche Romeo Raimondini), founded by Romeo Raimondi and Malagoli in 1922 and located in Milano, produced a Moped with a 175 cc engine fitted with an auto transmission. They produced motor bikes with 98 cc and 123-cc Train engines.
The plant actually came from the Cypselus cycle plant, which was founded in 1899 by Ippolito Raimondini. He produced "chain free" bicycles, which had a shaft drive. Ippolito went to the body shop Orlandi in Modena, where he had to develop a car. The bicycle manufacturing was led by his son Romeo. Romeo also went in 1915 to Modena, where he went to work in a garage. In 1922, he and Malagoli began to build motorcycles under the MR brand. In 1925 the brand has produced three types of motorcycles, with a self-developed accelerator device. The production of motorcycles ended probably in 1926.
In 1928 changed the company name to Officina Meccanica Romeo Raimondi, going to stationary engines, initial two strokes, but from 1932 also four-stroke engines.
The company still exists under the name RCM, and is now builds mechanical street sweepers.
