Galloni
1920 - 1931
Moto Galloni (Meccanica Italiana A. Galloni) was founded by Alberto Galloni in 1920 and located in Borgomanero. The engines were of the firm's own design and manufacture, with an overhead-valve 500 cc version joined by others ranging from a 250 cc single to a 750 cc V-twin.
Alberto Galloni's first motorcycle produced by its own 494 cc and 746 cc V-twins, then 349 cc, 499 cc and 750 cc single-cylinder and V-twins, SV initially and later with overhead valve. In 1925, Virginio Minozzi was the head of sales department and advised Galloni to expand the dealer network. In 1926 they made two models, a 250 cc and a 350 cc. Furthermore, they made small batches of 500 cc and 600 cc military motorcycles.
In 1927 the factory was temporarily closed due to money problems, but in 1928 were once again operational for building motorcycles. These were clearly enhanced 250 cc, 350 cc and 500 cc machines. The last machines that were built had a 173 cc Blackburne side valve or overhead valve engine. In 1931 all production ended and the company closed its doors.
