Sibona & Basano
Sibona and Basano, was located in Torino from 1962 until 1966 and was founded by two architects named Sibona and Basano. The designs and builds were not very active and would only occasionally design some innovative cars and ideas.
They company did coach building work for Abarth (Fiat Abarth Monomille, 1000 Bialbero; Abarth Simca 1300/1600/2000 GT; Abarth 1300OT Periscopio Coupe; aero-roof-panels for 595/695); work in collaboration with the US-designer Brooks Stevens for Studebaker; built the Mercer-Cobra for Virgil Exner sen. and jr.; work with the designer Pio Manzu for the german "Team Autonova".
Coachbuilders and Designers; produced the self-designed beach-car called the "Decathlon" which was based on the a Fiat 500 D and F with a fiberglass body. They also were coachwork subcontractors ongoing for Vignale, Frua, Ghia and OSI.
