Luca Mazzanti's vision, the Evantra V8

The brand F&M was born in the beginning of the new millennium. The principles of the brand are the passion for sports and racing cars, the experience and expertise of complex works of the founders Luca Mazzanti and Walter Faralli. Their aim was to create cars which in between the many rules, conformity and lack of fantasy were almost lost: cars which are not cold objects for commuting, but which are full of passion and emotion and trigger the people wherever they are.

Until the end of 2009 the creations of F&M were projected and built inside the atelier of Faralli Restauri. From 2010 the increasing numbers of projects in both sectors lead to the decision to separate these activities in two ateliers, with strong connection and partnership with one another: Walter Faralli manages together with ‘maestro’ Mario the restoration family company, while Luca Mazzanti dedicates himself exclusively to the development of new supercars and of the brand, which in the meantime became: Mazzanti Automobili.

Born in the wonderful Tuscany region, in Pistoia on the 1st of February 1974. Since his childhood he has always been an enthusiast of motorsports, he did drawings of cars and modified models and cherishing the dream of becoming a supercar builder.

Besides his studies, at the end of the 80’s he started to work in the families carbody workshop. From the beginning of the 90’s he collaborated with who later became his real teacher: Mario Faralli. In more than twenty years he has gained his vast experience restoring some of the rarest and most important cars ever made: Cisitalia 202, Ferrari 500 Mondial, the Maserati 450 Costin/Zagato denominated "Il Mostro" prepared especially for Sir Stirling Moss for the 1957 24 hours race of Le Mans.

Quite often he finds himself in a situation, where he has to completely rebuild some cars, where the bodywork had totally perished and nothing else remained but a chassis and some faded photographs. All this, recreating the shapes out of aluminum all by hand! Meanwhile his enthusiasm for motorsports turned into a passion for motorbikes as well, which he created a particular and rare ‘special’ working on the mechanics of a Ducati. His love of speed had him participate in many hillclimb races running sport prototype vehicles and personally restored Abarths.

In 2001 he designed and created a ‘barchetta’ with Walter Faralli for a client and this triggers the birth of the brand F&M. The consistent reputation and credibility growth through the numerous customers private projects with his own creations, led to be one of the acclaimed luxury car makers. During the years of creations at F&M, the Antas and other projects were invited to the most prestigious luxury car shows in the world and also in some important Hollywood projects.

In 2011, after 3 years working side by side with designer Zsolt Tarnok, Luca Mazzanti has presented the first mid-engine vehicle by Mazzanti Automobili, which is projected to be produced in a small series, each example personalized by the owner, named the: Evantra.
