1973
Grassetti was founded by the Italian race rider Silvio Grassetti who rode with MV Agusta eg, Bianchi, Moto Morini, Benelli, Jawa and MZ.
In 1973 he built himself a racer, the Grassetti 250 Grand Prix. This was a water-cooled two-stroke twin. The machine was developed by Savelli, who was also the one who built the successful four-cylinder Benelli racers.
