Ferrario was founded in the spring of 1973 by Ditta Carlo and Giuseppe and was based in Albavilla, Como. Ferrario presented a prototype off-road car to the press that had six wheels, including the rear four that were drive and named the Lizard.
The all off-road vehicle was small and built on a contemporary profiled torpedo steel frame used a Fiat 500 F engine, combined with the transmission and gearbox off a Fiat 600 and the transaxel off a Fiat 1100. Production of the Lizard was very limited and most likely not exceed more then ten copies.
