AMIS (Le Officine Meccaniche di Vedano al Lambro) was based in Milan by Zumbini, and build a lightweight motorcycle with an Alpine 98 cc engine and three wheelers. In 1946, Peter Vassena designed a 125 cc two-stroke with the intake rotary valve small horizontal cylinder engine mounted on the frame and AMIS.
The scooter, with marked Rumi motor, was exhibited at the show in Milan in 1949. The engine is further amended by discontinuing the rotating distributor that went into production at Rumi.
