Florentia
1903 - 1912
Florentia (Fabbrica di Automobili Florentia) was founded March 11, 1903 in Florence and started its production with the Type 10 HP. This was a small car was built in 1906 with a two-cylinder engine and an engine capacity of 1.4 liters. Among the main technical characteristics included was a 3-speed transmission with reverse and a shaft drive. Towards the end of 1904, Florentia now under license, began the production of the French Rochet-Schneider. This decision led to greater production and a profit increases. In 1906 the Rochet-Schneider models sold with their own developments of an engine with 10-28 hp. In 1910 weaknesses within the company began to show and in 1912 was financially forced to close.
Phaeton
This unique 10 HP with its “phaeton” coachwork is the only surviving example of a model made by Florentia.
