1967 - 1969
Tarbo (Tartarini Bologna) was founded by Leopoldo Tartarini and located in Bologna as a result of a collaboration between an Italian and a Czechoslovak firm Jawa. This provided the engine mounts that Tartarini, often after elaborate on chassis of own production. Models avaliable in 1967 included a 49 cc moped engine horizontally cradled in the tubular chassis with a power of 5 hp at 6500 rpm, the 125 with a power of 8.5 hp at 5600 rpm and a 350 with a vertical matched two-cylinder engine with 22 hp at 5000 rpm and a four-speed gearbox.
Tartarini Italjet Mustang was in 1964 (nicknamed Albero, the Tree) in 1966 and designed a prototype that he called Ital-Moto-Jawa. His Tarbo-moped was therefore a Mustang headlight and fork and a Jawa-CZ 50 cc block. Tarbo also built 125 cc and 350 cc motorcycles Jawa-blocks. The cooperation with Jawa was halted by the Russian invasion of Czechoslovakia in 1968.
