Menon, founded in 1875 by Carlo Menon, is one of the oldest Italian automobile manufacturer, after its initial activities in the bicycle industry in 1897, began in the automotive industry. The first Menon was a single model with De Dion-engine, front engine with a 1.25hp. The 3 hp engine was conventional, except for the fact that it was designed to run on an alcohol/gasoline mixture, but the transmission was not.
