1972 - 1985
Auto Mirage of Bologna, like the All Cars (Autozodíaco), collaborated to produce buggys before embarking on the adventure of micro cars.
"Auto Mirage" was established in 1972 and was one of the most ambitious in the manufacturing and marketing of Buggys.
The first model, the Mirage, was the most popular and sold for 1,430,000 lire and was distributed throughout Italy.
In 1974 they presented two new models, the Pirana and Moon Buggy.
The Pirana design was very refined and very reminiscent of the Porsche 911 lines, and the "Moon Buggy", with its rectangular headlamps, looked like a spacecraft. The latter particularly given its versatility, it was acquired and used as a fire vehicle at some Italian racetracks. It was equipped with an enhanced performance, unlike the other models in the firm, with a 2200 cc Porsche engine. The Pirana sold for 1,490,000 lire and the Moon Buggy for 1,680,000 lire. .
In 1974, Auto Mirage also began marketing a small number of recreational vehicle called the Pick Wick, basis on the Fiat 126.
In 1976, Auto Mirage presented its first model Microcar, the Mirage 3, which was a three wheels and built with a small motor.
The 1981 "Mirage 3" was replaced by two other models; The SR3 also a three wheeler and the SR4 with four wheels.
The three models of the micro car were produced for a long time without any significant changes.
