1906 - 1956
Frera Corrado & C. was founded on November 9th, 1905 in Milan. The company's goal was to design and sale automobiles, bicycles and motorcycles. The company focused activities in the production of a small car called the Piccolo, an air-cooled 2-cylinder engine. In 1913 the factory gates of Frera forever closed.
Frera was the name of a company in Italy that build motorcycles based in Tradate in province of Varese.
Founded in 1905 with the name of 'Società Anonima Frera' "by Frera Corrado was among the first case motorcycling Italian and one of the largest volume of production.
Its success is due to the quality of the models and the military, in fact the Frera was the largest provider of motorcycles' Italian Army during World War
The Frera also attended the competitions bringing many victories among which we mention the raid in the North-South 1923 and 1925.
Because of depression come in 1929 and the loss of state contracts, the company goes into crisis, declaring bankruptcy for the first time in 1933 and finally closed its doors in 1936.
The production of monitors and anticipates Frera in many cases, the fast evolution of motorcycles in those years and be the first models with single-cylinder engine 1.25 horses and rigid chassis up to the models with V-twin engine (engine V2) with displacement up to 1140 cc and transmission chain to return to single-cylinder with distribution 4-valve head and suspension parallelogram front and rear swingarm swinging.
