ARS
1963
ARS (Automobili Sportive Romana), created by Bruno Patriarca in 1963, this car was constructed in only single example. Automobile used mechanicals from Alfa Romeo Giulietta and Alfa Romeo Sprint Speciale.
In 1963 there was an attempt to brake the dominance of the northern Italy as the area where cars was produced, and an attempt to an industrialization, in small scale, to extend the car production to parts located southern in Italy. To young people, Bruno Patriarca as constructor and Pasquali Coluzzi as financier. establish in 1963 the Company Automobili SUD, the intention was to produce a ARS sports coupe. They only produced one the U1.
As components for assembly the used parts from Alfa Romeo Giuliatta and Sprint Speciale. The engine was bored out to 1481ccm with an output of 110hp.
