Figini & Lazzati
1898 - 1910
Figini & Lazzati (Luigi Figini & Co.), founded by Luigi Figini in Milan was an Italian motorcycle manufacturer.
The brand name Figini & Lazzati was confused because there had been machines in some newspapers of the time calling the bikes Lazzati. Lazzati & Co. had also constructed motorcycles under his own name.
In 1898 Luigi Figini and Lazzati jointly developed and presented a motorized bicycle with the top speed of 40 km/h. One turned the pedals to start the engine. Figini and Lazzati were the first Italians who independently produced a motorized bicycle.
Already appeared in 1899 an improved version of the "Bicicletto", by which the block is sat higher back in the pedals turned the frame. In 1906 only a single series of production was reached and four years later the company was again closed.
