Florentia was founded 11 March 1903 in Florence and started its production with a Type 10 HP. The small car with two-cylinder engine and an engine capacity of 1.4 liters was built in 1906. Among the main technical characteristics included a 3-speed transmission with reverse and shaft drive. Towards the end of 1904, Florentia began with the production of the French Rochet-Schneider under license. This decision led to production and profit increases. In 1906 the Rochet-Schneider models and instead sold their own developments with 10-28 hp delivered. In 1910 weaknesses within the company began to show and in 1912 financially forced the closer.
