1905 – 1910
ROMA was an Italian automotive manufacturer based in Rome with operations in 1905 through 1910 established by the engineer Riccardo Memmo. He took over as the technical director and worked on the construction of an automobile and a heavy vehicle, both of which should have been driven by the same engine. Such an engine proved to be too expensive, so that in 1907 they decided to direct their focus on trucks. It was hoped to receive orders from the military but it was so disastrous during demonstrations, of the prototype, that it was abandoned and the company ended its activities in 1910.
