TAU
Tau, founded by Aroldo Triveldi and based in Milan, was an Italian brand built engines for motorcycles.
They initially built air-cooled 125 cc two-stroke rotary engines with valves that were used mainly in karts. Later he built over the engines so they were suitable for motorcycles.
In 1976 he built the Tau TVR engine with six-speed intended for road racers. Cross block machine were not suitable, so Triveldi developed a new engine.
In 1977 he presented two engines at the Salon of Milan. The young manufacturer Valenti and the existing brand Cabrera selected the Tau engines for their field equipment.
Tau developed a British company in 1979 with a 100 cc and 250 cc versions. Besides Valenti and Cabrera, Tau also built engines for Ancilotti, JCM and Puma.
