The first motorcycle with the Comet brand is made in 1952 by BDB (Brevetti Drusiani Bologna). It had a engine with side by side 173.6 cc cylinders, with valves in the head tilted 40 ° and driven by two camshafts in the head. The four speed transmission was in the block and the bike develop a power of 10 hp at 6000 rpm.
In 1953, a new version came out, the Comet 175 Sport, built with engines of 10 hp at 6800 rpm. In 1954, a Comet 175 cc single-cylinder engine with an overhead camshaft and a cylinder layout with the same characteristics as above. Also in 1954, an 98 cc two-stroke engine with a two-tier exchange-controlled knob. In 1955, the biggest news was a single cylinder with a 250 cc engine with the rollers and rockers. All production ceased in 1957.
