Montescani & Co., based in Turin, was founded in 1927 by Francis Montescani who was an appreciated craftsman who knew how to capitalize on his solid experience acquired over a long time working with the best caochbuilders of the time. This prestigious Italian body company of the inter-war years, remembered for his accomplishments of luxury and refined taste. His first creations were exhibited at the Milan Show in April, 1927. In contrast to other body-builders, he specialized in clothing models from a single brand. Montescani embraced nearly all the finest Italian manufacturers at the time, showing a remarkable versatility not only with regard to the models but also addressed the numerous design themes, from coupes to the torpedo, from the limousine to convertible.
