Wolsit (Wolseley Italiana) built motocycles for the Ducati factory and used the mark for their first bike that had a 3.5 hp engine and a three gears transmission. In 1932 the name Wolsit reappeared on a bicycle with a motor called the Motosulm and built by NSU and was mounted above the front wheel. Following the Ducati motorcycle partnership, they began building motorcycles with there own name.
The company was founded in January 1907 in Legnano. Banca di Legnano got involved with 2 million lira and the Macchi brothers of Varese. The goal was the licensed production of automobiles by the Wolseley Motor Company. The brand name was the Wolsit. Due to the economic crisis emerged at that time only a few vehicles. In 1909 the company was liquidated.
The smallest model was the 10/12 HP two-cylinder engine with 1775 cc. There were also the four-cylinder models 16/24 HP with 3550 cc displacement and 30/40 HP with 5555 cc. The largest model was the 45/60 HP six-cylinder 8190 cc engine. The last model released to the market was the 14/20 HP with a four-cylinder engine and came with 2587 cc engine capacity on the market.
