1953 - 1980
Moto Meteora was a historic motorcycle brand built in Monteveglio, Bologna. Angelo Zanasi had set that mark in 1953 already. The first models had a one-cylinder OMS four-stroke engine. Later, there were 125 cc models, a 50 cc moped and the Pony, a 50 cc scooter equipped with a NSU engine. In the eighties they produced mopeds with Franco Morini engines and in the mid-eighties, production was terminated.
At the same time in the factory based in Monteveglio, (Bologna), production increased on 50cc mopeds and 125 cc scooters. The Pony model, which followd the Poker moped, was equipped with a 50 cc NSU engine. Later, production focused solely on mopeds.
In the eighties, the list was meet with the Morini Franco 4M/R engine with distribution regulated by the piston, the Scacco Kit had the same engine, but with the suction regulated by the valve and a monotrave strip chassis. The "Cinquantino" cross and the Arrow CR were equipped with the 49.6 cc Minarelli P4 engine, as well as the 2001K, the Sebring Mini and the Minimet.
All activity ceased in the 1980's and the company closed.
