1937 - 1938
Seiling (A. Scoppio S.A) (SEI) motorcycle company was founded by Alberico Seiling in Milano, a successful motorcycle designer, after leaving MAS in 1937. The first creation was a 350-cc single-cylinder side valve with integrated three-speed gearbox, outer flywheel and rear suspension.
He built 297 cc and 347 cc single cylinder side valve engines with front and rear suspension. Soon thereafter he began building engines for the Türkheimer manufacturer and changed his brand in 1939 from the Seiling name to Altea.
Seiling, in the fifties when working for GS in Milano, worked to develop a 125 cc engine for the Brazilian brand Bugre.
