Zanzani was a historic brand of motorcycles manufacturer founded by the Italian ex-driver Primo Zanzani built in 1976 and 1977 and built some reasonably successful racers. His first model, a 500-cc twin cylinder two-stroke, came in fourth in the 1976 Italian championship behind the Suzuki's Giacomo Agostini, Marco Lucchinelli and Virginio Ferrari. The machines in 1977, 400 - and 500 cc performance bikes, were based on the Yamaha RD 400.
