Agrati (Ditta A. Agrati & Figli, Monticello, later Agrati-Garelli, Gruppo Industriale, Como, 1958-1965) was a historic Italian brand of scooters, only after the launch together with Garelli global fame.
The Agrati factory was originally founded in 1900 where they built electric motors and later bikes, but from 1958 on, they built the Capri scooter. After World War II, Garelli was acquired by the Agrati family becoming Agrati-Garelli.
Still known as Garelli, they concentrated on producing smaller motorcycles and mopeds for the European market. After going along with Garelli in 1960, production was greatly increased. In addition, it was mainly focused on small motorcycles from 48 - 125 cc.
In the 1960’s Agrati Garelli produced the classic Capri scooter a direct competitor to the machines produced by Vespa and Lambretta, today the remaining Capri’s are highly valued collectors items.
After 1965 the name Agrati was no longer used and all motorcycles and scooters would go under the name Garelli.
