1925 -
Officine Bertoli was founded in 1925 to service the few motorized vehicles in circulation then. In 1930, Bertoli invented a new means of transport, now known as the delivery tricar, that was destined to play a determining factor in the motorization of Italian commercial and industrial vehicles.
Although the company registered numerous mechanical patents, Betoli’s interests were not only limited to that field. The company also diversified into the production of special blends of rubber. This development sprung from the impossibility of finding adequate materials on the market. After the war, the company concentrated on the design and construction of transport units for the railways. The widespread use of Bertoli trolleys in Italy (every railway station has them), coupled with their strength and reliability, made the company a success.
The current production includes all kinds of industrial trailers with patented wheels, trolleys for internal transport, railways, airports and hospitals; trolleys for special uses, for warehouses and super-elastic tires. The company today is successfully involved in transport technology, industrial handling and accessories for production units. Whatever the field and whatever the use, Bertoli products represent the utmost in terms of technology, performance and reliability: and are a genuine point of reference in the industry. Source
