Seiling (SEI) motorcycle company was founded by Alberico Seiling, a successful motorcycle designer, after leaving MAS in 1937. The first creation was a 350-cc single-cylinder side valve with integrated three-speed gearbox, outer flywheel and rear suspension. In 1939 the Seiling name changed to Altea.
