The Ducati 848 is a 849cc L-twin sport bike manufactured by Ducati. It was announced on November 6, 2007 for the 2008 model year and replaces the 749. The 848 makes a manufacturer claimed 134hp @ 10,000 rpm and 70.8lb ft @ 8250 rpm. With a claimed dry weight of 168 kg, the 848 undercuts its larger displacement sibling, the 1098, by 5 kg.
The Ducati 848 is available in Red or Pearl White colors.
Comparison with Ducati 1098
The 848 shares more physical and technical design elements with the stronger 1098 than with its predecessor, the 749, including:
