1920 – 1921
Rombo was an Italian automotive manufacturer based in Brescia with operations in 1920 through 1921. By 1912, the technician Ottavio Fuscaldo designed a prototype with a 4-cylinder engine and "rhomboidal wheel alignment" (which he received a patent for). The front and the rear wheel were driven, the two side wheels were the drive wheels. This technique was offered to a few manufacturers, but showed no interest. In 1920, they founded the company "Società Rombo Automobili Brevetti Fuscaldo" to market the new patent anyway. When this attempt failed again after a year, the company was dissolved.
