Prof. Dr. Ferdinand Anton Ernst Porsche, better known by his nickname "Ferry" (September 19, 1909 in Wiener Neustadt, Austria to March 27, 1998), was an automotive designer and engineer and founder of sports car manufacturer Porsche AG, he was the son of Ferdinand Porsche.

Ferry had been a a significant contributor to the development of original Volkswagen Beetle and the Auto Union Grand Prix race car of 1932. In 1947 he founded the Porsche company in Gmund, Austria and began developing their first sports car, based on the Beetle design, which eventually was called the Type 356.
