GALLERIA FERRARI (Ferrari Gallery)

Via Dino Ferrari, 43 - 41053 Maranello (Modena)

Built in 1988 and officially inaugurated on the 18th February 1990, this modern two story building houses exhibits of both racing and road cars. The museum was built by the local government in collaboration with Ferrari S.P.A.

PININFARINA COLLECTION

The Collection contains about fifty cars, the oldest dating from 1936. They are not all on permanent display, but rotated. Some are one-offs or examples from limited series; others are taken from bigger production runs or are styling models and research prototypes.

MUSEO «TAZIO NUVOLARI»

The Museum displays plenty of relics, papers, trophies, models and pictures about the myth of Tazio Nuvolari: one of the greatest car-racing drivers of all times.

MUSEO FORD GRATTON

MUSEO DELL'AUTOMOBILE DI SAN MARTINO (Car Museum)

Via Barbieri 12 - 42018 San Martino in Rio (Reggio Emilia)

Established in 1965 by Emilio Storchi Fermi nicknamed Barighin, this museum chronicles the history of cars and motorbycicles from 1890 to 1970. The Zedel (1910) belonging to Margherita of Savoia; a Ford T (1916), Pope John XXIII's Fiat (1959) and an Itala dating from 1920 are among the most interesting pieces.

QUATTRORUOTE COLLECTION

Via Achille Grandi 5-7 - 20089 Rozzano (Milano) Collection of landmark cars from all over the world, some of which extremely rare and prototypes. Coaches from the early 19th c. onwards and some rare bicycles.

MUSEO DI AUTO E MOTO D'EPOCA (Museum of Period Cars and Motorcycles) via Provinciale - 29020 Grazzano Visconti (Piacenza)

It is a collection of period motorcycles and cars. To be pointed out: a Balilla car, once belonging to Enrico Fermi, a BSA motorcycle belonging to Luchino Visconti and the prototype of a leisure car with a FIAT 600 multipla chassis and wicker seats, belonging to Giovanni Agnelli.

Open daily: March to October 9.30-12.30 - 14.00-19.00 November: 9.30-12.00.

MUSEO DELL'AUTOMOBILE "LUIGI BONFANTI" (Car Museum)

Via Torino, 2 - 36060 Romana d'Ezzelino (VI)

Different from most other car museums in not having a permanent collection, the museum founded in 1993 by Luigi Bonfanti has thematic displays, each lasting a few months. The museum organizes temporary exhibitions of vintage, sports and racing cars. The Fiat Abarth 1000 Pininfarina and the 1912 Fiat 15 ter fire-engine are included in the permanent display.

MUSEO DELLE MOTOCICLETTE DUCATI (Ducati motorbikes Museum)

Via Cavalieri Ducati, 3 Borgo Panigale (Bologna) - 40132 Italy

The great moments of the Ducati past are recounted using a variety of Ducati racing motorcycles, images, memorabilia and componentry. Divided into nine main sections, the museum reiterates the chronology of over fifty years of Ducati's evolution from a small electrical company to a motorcycling giant. The history of Ducati motorbikes spans more than half a century and includes many models which are still highly sought after. Whether you are a vintage collector, or simply interested in classical bikes, you will find something of interest here.

Open only by appointment: 9am to 5pm (Monday to Friday); Saturday only for groups.

Closing days: Sundays, Bank Holidays, August, from December 22 to January 7 and the Holy Week
