Corpo Forestale dello Stato (or CFS, in English, "State Forestry Department ") is a national police agency in Italy. Similar in function to park rangers, they are responsible for protecting Italy's natural resources, the environment, countryside and ecosystems, especially national parks and national forests.

The CFS falls under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Forestry. Its duties include arresting poachers, safeguarding protected animal species and preventing forest fires. The CFS is responsible for civil protection in Italy’s mountain areas and for investigating environmental violations.

Its most well-known protection duty is fighting wildfires through 44 regional commands and a fleet of 22 fire-fighting aircraft, but the CFS also deals with disaster relief and enforcement of endangered species laws.
