Piaggio is a company based in Italy that produces automobiles, motorcycles and scooters, such as:
- APE 3-wheel submicro pickups.
- Porter 4-wheel micro-vans and micro-pickups, same as a Daihatsu Hijet.
- Ligier 4-wheel micro automobiles.
- Vespa motorscooters.
- Gilera motorcycles.
Founded in Genoa in 1884, the company began as Piaggio & Co, and is now named S.p.A. Piaggio.
In 1957 they produced the Vespa 400, a tiny passenger car. The company's Piaggio Aero division builds aircraft.
